NEW BUSINESS
Request Opening-Sweetbough 4th-5th – Ty Burroughs
Mr. Burroughs previously addressed the board with request to open
Sweetbough at his own expense. Board approved request but Mr. Burroughs
is having a problem with property owner
Saying he would be encroaching on her property if road is opened 50 wide
(as shown on plat maps)
Mr. Burrough’s surveyor is
not in agreement - Survey
shows entire roadway the same width.
Mr. Burrough’s is asking the board’s help in resolving this matter.

Health Insurance – 2009
Frank Carlyle and Brad Sharp
were present – Each presented quotes from their companies.

Contract with Choctaw-Backup Inspector
Choctaw Contract was
presented which would approve use of Choctaw’s inspector as needed
Here in Jones. Cost will be
$25.75 per hour. M. Elerick
made motion to approve Choctaw Inspector Contract.

Mark Taylor advised of increase in calls this year.
He also advised of smoke detector program which furnished residents a
fire detector free of charge
With stipulation that firefighters install.
He has 25 at this time but can get more.

Discussion regarding inoperative vehicles at Larry’s
Garage (Hiwassee-Just north of Britton)
Action needs to be taken as vehicles are close to road which
could possibly cause an accident.
