Yale Uniform Contract

Contract for Maintenance Dept uniforms and rugs for all buildings.  Annual contract with no price changes was presented.  R. Poland made motion to approve yearly contract.  T. Shuffield seconded.   Yes- M. Elerick, R. Choate, R. Poland, T.Shuffield, R. McMillin.

All American (Republic) – Notification of Going Out for Bids (Re:  July 1 Renewal Contract) and Advertise for Bids.

M. Elerick made motion to notify All American that Jones is going to bid out contract and to start advertising. R. Poland seconded.   Yes- M. Elerick, R.Choate, R. Poland, R. McMillin,

T. Shuffield.

Executive Session-Hire-Fire-Promote-Demote PWA Employee (25 O. S. 207 B. 1)

R. Choate made motion to go into executive session.  T. Shuffield seconded.   Yes-M. Elerick, R. Choate, R. Poland, T. Shuffield, R. McMillin.  Time: 8:50 PM

Board returned to open meeting at 9:16 PM

R. Poland made motion to hire Keith Johnson at $8.52 per hour. M. Elerick seconded.  Yes-M.  Elerick, R.Choate, R. Poland, R. McMillin, T. Shuffield.

****Note:  Mr. Johnson was not employed due to negative drug test – 02-04-09.

Purchase Backhoe

After discussion, Philip Johnson is to check with bank as to payments on approx: $60,000.

Water Line Project-Individual Service Lines/Open Bids

Five sealed bids were received and opened.        1.  Shofield-Raines- $42,000   2>  Kelly Plumbing - $18,900   3. Courtesy Plumbing- $27,000    4.  Dickerson - $840 for each service.

5.  All-Good Plumbing - $27,000.  After disc:  R. Poland made motion to accept Kelly Plumbing bid.  R. Choate seconded.  Yes- M. Elerick, R. Choate, R. Poland, R. McMillin,

T. Shuffield.
