The Town Of Jones is a growing
community. Our goals as your public
works department are to provide you with
utilities with minimum service
interruptions.
We maintain the integrity of our entire
systems' pipe, pipelines, meters, and
maintain our critical infrastructure.
We pledge to be a proactive city by
upgrading of our parks, streets, and
utilities to maintain the safe and
comfortable community we live in.

The Public Works Dept. duties are to
maintain the water systems wells and all
mains and piping to the customer meter.
We do monthly testing at DEQ. To assure
water is safe to drink.
Water. We maintain wastewater lines
(mains) from customer taps to the waste
water treatment facility. Including
jetting of backed up wastewater mains.
Also, we maintain our wastewater
treatment facility daily.
Natural gas. We maintain the integrity
of our gas piping (main lines) and
service meters to the customer side of
the line. We do a multitude of testing
at various times yearly and quarterly
such as odorant and leak detection
surveys. Also, periodic meter and
regulator change outs and line locating
for excavators.
